The EVENT Group is committed to ensuring your personal information is protected. The EVENT Group understands and appreciates you are concerned about your privacy and about the confidentiality and security of information we may collect about you. It will explain how we manage your personal information.

In addition to this Privacy Policy, there may also be specific and additional privacy provisions, which apply to our collection and use of your personal information e.g. information provided when participating in a promotion, entering a competition, subscribing to a newsletter, or participating in a survey. If there is any inconsistency between this Privacy Policy and those specific and additional provisions, the specific and additional provisions will prevail.

The information we collect about you

The types of personal information we collect about you will depend on what services you use or products you acquire. The EVENT Group uses the information you provide to us to help you access the services or acquire the goods that the EVENT Group provides more easily. The EVENT Group manages a number of hotels as agent on behalf of the relevant hotel owner. The EVENT Group shares customer personal information with these hotel owners and their employees to allow them to undertake similar functions as the EVENT Group, as described in this Privacy Policy.

The EVENT Group engages certain trusted third parties (including data hosting and processing companies, and information technology providers and operators of social media channels and platforms) to help us provide, improve and promote our services and communicate with our customers. We will only disclose your personal information to these third parties to perform tasks on our behalf and in compliance with this Privacy Policy. These third parties may be located in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, India, Germany and the United States of America. We take steps to ensure that our service providers are obliged to protect the privacy and security of your personal information and use it only for the purpose for which it is disclosed. In providing us with your personal information, you consent to this disclosure.

Our hotels and resorts use a reservation system that allows those hotels and resorts to view and access customer personal information on our system (for example to view past booking and transaction details). In providing us with your personal information, you also consent to the disclosure of your personal information to all hotels and resorts owned, managed or operated by the EVENT Group, including any hotels in foreign countries.

The EVENT Group will not disclose your personal information for purposes or to parties other than those outlined above without your consent.

User generated content

If you respond to a post guest survey, post reviews or comments on the site or provide other written feedback to the EVENT Group (“Response”), you grant the EVENT Group a non-exclusive, royalty free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display the Response throughout the world in any media. You also grant the EVENT Group and sub licensees the right to use the name that you submit with any Response if any, in connection with the Response.


From time to time, the EVENT Group may conduct competitions on its website. When these competitions are run, you may also be given the choice of being on a mailing list to receive further contact from us. Unless you choose to receive further communications from the EVENT Group, the information we collect from your entry in the competition is not used for any purposes other than the competition.

Priority Guest Rewards Program

The EVENT Group operates the Priority Guest Rewards loyalty program (“PGR Program”). The hotels that participate in the PGR Program are listed on the website (“Participating Hotels”) and include certain Rydges, QT, and Atura hotels.

Effective from 1 August 2014, any new PGR Program members will automatically also become a member of the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) loyalty program. Existing PGR Program members need to “opt-in” after 1 August 2014 to become a GHA loyalty program member. GHA member benefits are detailed on the GHA website GHA is based in Switzerland.

The Participating Hotels use a reservation system that allows any of the Participating Hotels to view and access PGR Program member personal information on our system (for example to view past booking and transaction details for PGR Program members and confirm PGR Program member details and status). It is a condition of membership of the PGR Program that all members consent to the EVENT Group disclosing their personal information to all Participating Hotels listed on our website, including the Participating Hotels in foreign countries listed on that website, for the purpose of providing services or undertaking activities related to the PGR Program.

The EVENT Group’s website provides links to websites outside of the EVENT Group’s services. These linked sites are not under our control, and we are not responsible for the conduct of companies linked to our website. Before disclosing your personal information on any other website, we advise you to examine the privacy policy and terms and conditions of that website.

Storage and security of your personal information

Any personal information that we collect about customers, including email addresses, will be kept in the EVENT Group’s database. The database will be accessible only by those authorised to perform normal daily tasks such as updating addresses and renewing memberships. The EVENT Group will take all reasonable precautions to protect the personal information it holds from any misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

The internet is not a secure environment. If you use the internet to send us any personal information, the EVENT Group will not be liable for events arising from unauthorised access to your information.
